1. What cookies we use
We use the CookieConsent banner to group cookies into three categories. The banner surfaces on your first visit to our landing page at iconicvoices (private beta).
Strictly necessary
Always on. Required for the site to function. Includes:
- cc_cookie — stores your consent choice so we do not re-prompt on every page load. Set by CookieConsent v3 (self-hosted). 6-month expiry; first-party.
- Session storage — used by the catalog filter and waitlist modal to remember UI state during a single visit.
Analytics
Off by default. Enabled only if you click "Accept all" or explicitly toggle Analytics in the Customize dialog.
- Plausible Analytics (privacy-first, anonymous) — our planned analytics provider. Plausible is cookieless by design (no personal data, no cross-site tracking). As an alternative, Umami uses a 24-hour rotating cookie. Either way, no personal data is collected.
Even if you deny Analytics consent, Plausible or Umami may run in anonymous aggregate mode (no cookies, no IP retention) — because these tools do not rely on personal data. This is documented here so the transparency is complete.
Marketing
Off by default. Enabled only if you explicitly grant marketing-cookie consent.
- Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Pixel — ad measurement. Stores a first-party
_fbpcookie and communicates withconnect.facebook.net. Blocked entirely until you consent. - TikTok Pixel — ad measurement. Stores a first-party
_ttpcookie and communicates withanalytics.tiktok.com. Blocked entirely until you consent.
2. Consent Mode v2 — how we default
We use Google Consent Mode v2 defaults with every tracking category set to denied before any tracker script loads. This happens in assets/js/consent-default.js and fires before app.js. Until you explicitly grant consent via the banner, no personalization, ad storage, or analytics storage is enabled.
In plain English: nothing tracks you unless you say so.
3. How to change your preferences
You can revisit or revoke consent at any time:
- Re-open the cookie banner — on the landing page, click the floating preference icon in the lower-left (added by CookieConsent v3). This reopens the Customize dialog and lets you toggle categories per-service.
- Reset entirely — clear cookies for this site in your browser (DevTools > Application > Cookies, or your browser's privacy settings). The banner will reappear on your next visit.
- Email us — [email protected] and we will help.
4. Third parties
When (and only if) you grant consent, the following third parties may receive data:
| Tool | Category | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Plausible Analytics | Analytics (may run without cookies even without consent; aggregated only) | plausible.io/privacy |
| Umami (alternative) | Analytics | umami.is/privacy |
| Meta Pixel | Marketing (consent-gated) | facebook.com/privacy/policy |
| TikTok Pixel | Marketing (consent-gated) | tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy |
5. Contact
